Area Development Manager
Welcome, my name is Raakkel Karkkainen and I’m the Area Manager for EarlyCare.
It is a pleasure to be part of the experienced management team that facilitates the operations of the three centres we have in Darwin. I have been working in Early Childhood for the past 13 years, throughout this time I have had the opportunity to extend on my knowledge and experiences in many aspects of Early Childhood, Long Day Care and even Training. I currently hold a Cert III, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Children Services and have also obtained my Certificate IV in Assessment and Training.
I enjoy the challenge of leading teams, supporting the operations of the services and prompting Early Childhood professionalism, to provide high quality programs which are based on trust, respect, partnership and excellence to help build the desire for Learning and Curiosity for all children within our services.
I believe in creating strong partnerships within our services in order to create a culture that welcomes and meets the needs of the Educators, Staff, Children and Families. I strive to empower our teams to be passionate and committed to Early Childhood Care and Education by supporting and providing ongoing Training, learning and development.
I look forward to being a part of the new exciting changes that are developing in Early Childhood over the coming years.
